MILLS Mary Redding Mills, 97, passed away June 14, 2003 at home. Born in Waycross, Georgia, she lived in Jacksonville most of her life, attended Florida State University, and was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. She retired from Peninsula Life Insurance Co. after over 30 years of service where she was the first woman Corporate Officer. Mrs. Mills was also an organizer and charter member of the Pilots Club and a founding member and past-President of the K9 Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Mills, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine Boothe Redding; nephew, Charles F. Redding, III (Rita); niece, Mary Redding Smelser; great-nieces, Neva Cornelson and Laurie Jo Smelser; and great-nephews, David and Dennis Smelser, Charles, Clay, and Corey Redding. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18th, at Evergreen Cemetery (Gate 2 ) with Rev. Dan Thomas officiating.
