Mary Raymond Comstock, born in 1918, spouse of Elmore Comstock, son of Frank and Julia, father of Jean, Fl, Richard and Frederick F, died on December 22, 2010 at 92 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Mary A. (Kairis) Raymond-Comstock, 92, of Kingston, formerly of Stoughton, died peacefully Wednesday evening, December 22, 2010 surrounded by family at Baypointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility in Brockton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick F. Raymond and Elmore Comstock. Born in Walpole on April 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Schmorska) Kairis, she was raised in Norwood and was a graduate of Norwood High School. Mary worked as a weaver for Woods Manufacturing in Stoughton and later as a stitcher for the former Shawmut Mills and Garland Company of Brockton. A longtime resident of Stoughton, she moved to Kingston over 25 years ago. For 45 years, Mary enjoyed vacationing during the summers in Rangeley, Maine. She had an appreciation for nature and took pleasure in teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to fly fish as well as the beauty of the outdoors in Maine. Mary was also an avid cook. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was fortunate to be able to live on her own until three months ago. Marys family would like to thank the nursing staff at Baypointe Rehabilitation in Brockton for the professional care provided to her. She is survived by three children, Frederick F. Raymond of Stoughton, Richard Raymond of Fort Meyers, FL. and Jean Raymond- Fitzpatrick of Stoughton; sister of Nellie Carpenter of Rehoboth; seven grandchildren, Robert Fitzpatrick of Winchester, Frederick F. Raymond Jr. of Milton, Dean Raymond of Cambridge, Deborah Arnold of Plymouth, Stephen Raymond of Easton, Brent Raymond of Cambridge and Jessica Raymond of Plympton: great grandmother of Lea, Tyler, Christine, Katie, Shelby, Hannah, Luke, Max, William, Olivia, Sapphire, Kayla, Jacqueline, Courtney and Sean. She was also the sister of the late Frank Kairis, Frances Moresco, Julius Kairis and John Kairis. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte. 138) Easton, on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
