Mary Patricia Orr WHITE ROCK - Early on the morning of Feb. 4, 2014, Mary Patricia Orr went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Anderson, SC, May 22, 1932, she graduated from Dreher High School (class of 1949) and attended the University of South Carolina. Affectionately known as "Granny Pat" by her army of grandkids and great-grandkids, she was loved by all who knew her for her quick wit, sharp intellect, and great big heart full of love. She is survived by her children, Brenda C. Bull (Billy) of Prosperity, Jerry Clay Orr Jr. (Vickie) of Pelion, Stephan E. Orr (Denise) of Columbia, Wendie R. Orr-Svoboda (Dan) of Chapin, and Mary Lynn O. Correll (Brian) of Columbus, Georgia, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Ann Elise Orr. In a typical selfless act, Mom bequeathed her remains to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in order to further the research against Parkinson's Disease. In lieu of a funeral, a memorial service will be held at a later date. You have fought the good fight, you have finished your race, Momma. Rest easy in the arms of Jesus. We will see you again!
