OWEN, Mary Evelyn Mary Evelyn Owen passed away peacefully on February 11, 2010 at the age of 91. Mary was the fifth child of Mary and John McConnell. She was born at home near Davidson, Saskatchewan. They moved to Peace River in 1928 where she went to school finishing grade 8 and took grade 9 by correspondence. Mary married Jim Owen of Nampa, Alberta in 1937. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jim Owen, son Glen Owen (Lois), daughter Judy Caza (Yvon), daughter-in-law Cheryl Owen, eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother, Cliff McConnell and sisters, Viola Giroux and Gladys Talbot. Mary is predeceased by son, James Owen, Jr., great-granddaughter Montana, and six siblings. Friends and family look forward to the day when "the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised". Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 with burial at the Fairview Cemetery.
