DAVIS, Mary "Margie" Nell Age 76 of Nashville. Passed away suddenly April 13, 2010. Born in Millport, KY to the late Edgar & Lizzie Mae Short. Preceded in death by her brother, Columbis Reed Short "Buck" of Madison. Survived by husband of 57 years, Robert Franklin Davis; children, Judy (Lonnie) Evans & Patricia (Randy) Mortin of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Tara & Matt Walls; step-grandchildren, Scott (Georgia) Evans, Keith (Michelle) Evans, Todd & Catherine; step-great-grandchildren, Michael Evans, Christina Evans, Brian & Carson Evans; brother, E.T. (Donna) Short of Mt. Juliet. She worked at General Elictric in Owensboro, KY. Married her childhood sweetheart & later moved to Nashville, TN where she became a devoted homemaker for her family. She taught Sunday school for several years at Fatherland Baptist Church. Her kindness & thoughtful gestures to everyone she meet was her trademark. She was a devoted loving wife, mother & grandmother & will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Chapel, with Brother Jim Joines officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
