MOORE , Mary Jacqueline Zephrine Chase April 23, 1925 - February 10, 2010 Mary Jacqueline Zephrine Chase Moore (Jacqui Moore) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the age of 84. Jacqui was a native Calgarian and lived most of her life in Calgary. She attended the Convent in Beauharnois near Montreal and St. Mary's School in Calgary. Jacqui's true passions were her family, especially her grandchildren, the fashion industry (changed from clothing industry) and watching sporting events, especially the Calgary Flames. Jacqui's passion for fashion began at The Red Door, flourished at Mais Oui, expanded into a buying career with Marshall Fields in Spokane, Washington where she was responsible for seven departments and experienced countless buying trips in New York and Los Angeles. Relocating back to Calgary Jacqui worked for Elaine Kinney on 17 Avenue; which later became Jacqui Moore. There she partnered with a lifelong friend and worked alongside her sister and her family. Closing the store in late 1990's, retirement did not suit Jacqui, she continued to sell women's fashions from her home. Jacqui will always be remembered for her infectious spirit, love for life and fantastic sense of humour. Jacqui is survived by daughters, Darice and Jacqueline; sons, Darren and Brian; grandchildren, Kirstin, Jared, Michael Anthony, Louis and Henri; sister Cecile (Baby June); nieces, Lise, Michelle, Nicole, and Suzanne; and daughters-in-law, Sabine and Cora. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010, followed by a reception at her daughter Darice's house from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . If so desired and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, Administrative Office, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1 (Telephone 1-866-950-5465, www.alzheimer.ab.ca ).
