FLYNN Mrs. Mary Moffett Flynn, age 86, of Jepson Dr, Milford, beloved wife of the late John J. Flynn, passed away on Monday, July 07, 2008 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Murphy Moffett, she was born on November, 12, 1921 in New York, NY. She was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army serving in the Nurse Corps during World War II. She was a Registered Nurse at the Port Chester United Hospital in New York and also at Milford Hospital until her retirement. Mary was a lifelong volunteer in the City of Milford, including working for the Board of Education, TEAM, and the McKeen Center. Devoted mother of Mary Catherine Flynn-Casson and her husband James of Bluffton, S.C., Kevin John Flynn and his wife, Jane of Milford, William Michael Flynn of Hartford, John C. Flynn and his wife Elizabeth of West Haven, Brian P. Flynn and his wife Amy, and Patrick Joseph Flynn, all of Milford, she also leaves 16 cherished grandchildren, Amy Casson Rosene and Jeremy, Ethan, and Joshua Casson, Jane Chiodo and Kelly DiGioia and Kari Flynn, Aaron, Kyle, and Michael Flynn, Jessica, John, and James Flynn, and Christopher, Shannon, and Haley Flynn. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, Will, Jack, and Nate Casson Rosene, John Casson, Katherine Chiodo and Joseph DiGioia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford. Interment to follow in King's Highway Cemetery, Milford.
