Mitchell, Mary Alberta (Knox) TROY Mary Alberta (Knox) Mitchell, 83, of Troy, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, November 29, 2008, after a brief illness. Born and educated in Troy, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Anna (Fucci) Knox, and was the beloved wife of the late Howard L. Mitchell Sr. Mary was a graduate of Troy High School and the Helen Miller Secretarial School. She was the organist for many years at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Troy and also worked as a secretary in the training division of Cluette Peabody and Sons. She worked for Dr. Carl DeLucia as medical secretary for 19 years and later worked for Dr. Samuel Baer. She was the mother of Howard L. Mitchell (Jacqueline) of Dayton, Ohio, John F. Mitchell (Catherine) of Canton, Mich., and Thomas A. Mitchell (Anne) of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Mary is also survived by six grandchildren, Pamela Mitchell (Ill.), Jennifer Mitchell (Ohio), Brian Mitchell (Idaho), and Carrie Deiter, Jennifer Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell, all of Calif. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Emma Deiter, Katherine Deiter and Jack Miles Mitchell Newall, all of Calif. Funeral from the Bizzarro Funeral Home, 171 Hill Street, Troy, N.Y. on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and at Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
