Mrs. Mary McRae Mitchell - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mary McRae Mitchell entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Jacksonville, GA and lived in Savannah, GA for over 50 years. She attended Spellman College and graduated from Savannah State and Armstrong State Colleges (Universities). She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the Vickerettes Social Club. She was a member of First Congregational Church and served in the Women's Fellowship Auxiliary. She retired as an Educator form Savannah Chatham County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, Prince Mitchell. Survivors: son, Gary Mitchell (Retha) of Florence, SC; daughter, Gale Mitchell of Savannah, GA; grandson, Devin Mitchell of Savannah, GA; sister, Eula Clinton of Augusta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
