Mary Millerof Piscataway N.J. andHighland ParkMary M. (Mackinson) Miller, age 82, of Piscataway and Highland Park, passed away peacefully in the company of her family on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Highland Park, she was a graduate of St. Paul's Elementary School, St. Peter's High School (Class of 1941) and St. Elizabeth's College (Class of 1945). She taught at Rutgers Preparatory Elementary School. She married Dr. Bernard J. Miller in 1952, and they raised their family of six children in Piscataway, where she resided for 50 years before returning to Highland Park. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Parish in Highland Park. Her devout Roman Catholic faith was integral to her daily life. She was an active supporter of Catholic Missions. Mrs. Miller was a proud alumnus of St. Elizabeth's College in Convent Station, N.J., and an avid bridge player. She was a member of St. Peter's University Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Bernard J. Miller in 1998; her parents, Frank and Marie Mackinson, Bound Brook and Highland Park; and her brother, Thomas. Mrs. Miller is survived by her children and their spouses, John and Linda Miller, Binghamton, N.Y., Bernard and Lenora Miller, Millstone, N.J., Paul and Lynn Miller, Lawrenceville, N.J., Mary Miller, Piscataway, N.J., Margaret and John Chmura, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Michael and Genevieve Miller, Brick, N.J.; nine grandchildren, John and Matthew Miller, Bernard J. III and Audrey Miller, Michele and P.J. Miller, David Malley, Kayla and Dana Miller; a brother, Frank A. Mackinson, Jr., Bound Brook; and a sister, Jean Mackinson, also of Bound Brook. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. The Miller family would also like to acknowledge their appreciation for the excellent compassion and professional healthcare expertise of Drs. Ronald Lau, Aileen Mickey, Alan Chu and Steven Kim, and the extraordinary loving attention of the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at St. Peter's University Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Jaqui-Kuhr Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Highland Park. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Sisters of St. Francis Missions, c/o St. Elizabeth's Motherhouse, 115 East Main St., Allegheny, N.Y. 14766, or Mary Knoll Missions, P.O.
