Obituary of Mary Miller


A Memorial Service for Mary K. Miller will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. Rev. Peggy Garland will officiate.Mrs. Miller, widow of the late Bob Miller, died Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Saint Francis Hospital. She was born April 7, 1924, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Nathan Hale and Mary Johnston Kerrigan. Mrs. Miller had made her home in Greenville, S.C. since 1964. She was a very active member of her Church, participating as a Sunday School teacher and a Communion Steward, as well as being active in several Bible Studies groups. She was also involved in neighborhood and precinct activities.Those remembering Mary with love include one sister (Florence Beaton); four brothers (Selwyn, Kenneth, Vincent and Daniel Kerrigan); and three sisters-in-law (Mary Anne, Ruby and Jean Kerrigan); as well as many nephews and nieces and their children. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Miller; and an older brother, Douglas Kerrigan.Mary K. will be remembered for her boundless energy and love of others, her devotion to her Church, and her easy sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.It was her wish that memorial contributions be made to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, 1800 East North Street, Greenville, SC 29607, in lieu of flowers.
