JOHNSON, Mary McCarte b. June, 26, 1917, died peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Aberdeen Care Facility. Born in Glasgow, she was the author of The Judge and the Barfly, which was published when she was in her early eighties. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews who will miss her and her stories. As she had requested, there will be no service. Mary McCarte Johnson will be buried next to her beloved husband, Charlie Johnson, on Pender Island.
