MARTIN -The family regrets to announce the passing of Mary Martin of Wiseton on March 4, 2006. Mary was born to Robert and Vi Way on December 21, 1931 in Dinsmore. She attended Buffalo Hill for her elementary years and finished high school in Wiseton. Mom worked in Cox & Jones' store until she married Murray Martin in 1951 and moved to the Martin family farm. They had one daughter, Kathy. Upon the passing of her husband Murray, she continued farming until her passing. Mary was active in the community with organizations such as the UCW and Wiseton Curling Club. She enjoyed: singing with the choir, curling, gardening, crocheting, sewing, cooking, card games and family. A yearly favorite was the Corn Roasts. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Murray; mother and father, Violet and Robert Way; brothers, Ed and Roy Way; sister Jean Burston; brothers-in-law, Gordon Burston and Garnet Martin; sisters-in-law, Mary Way, Grace, Mabel and Vi Martin; a niece, Judy Martin and a nephew, Bob Way. Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Darcy) Wood and one grandson, McKenzie; brother-in-law, Art Martin; nephews and nieces, Bob (Ellen) Martin, Barry (Carol) Martin, Brenda (Steve) Joki, Diane (Rex) McPhail, Ray (Lorraine) Martin, Penny Ogren, Doreen Way and Jeanne (Rick) Beier and their families; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wiseton Memorial Hall, Reverend Jo-Ann Hills officiating. A private interment will take place at Forgan Cemetery with lunch to follow at the Hall. Donations in memory of Mary may be directed to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation or Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association. Clements' Rosetown Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
