Grant, Mary Margaret “May” (nee Hanley) 1920-2014 … Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, on Monday February 24, 2014 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband William, who together shared 56 years of marriage. Cherished mother of Janet Allen-Jones of Cambridge and Linda Aspden (Bruce) of Woodstock, and daughter in law Betty Grant of Kitchener. Special grandmother of Grant Allen, Craig Allen, Barb Grant, Paul Grant, Karen Brideau, Bill Aspden, Cheryl Aspden, Lisa Aspden and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Fred Grant, brothers Fred and James and sisters Anne Scully and Ellen Arthur. May will be remembered by her former co-workers and customers at Right House, Cambridge. She was also a longtime member of the Legion of Mary and the C.W.L in the Cambridge area. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday February 26, 2014 from 7-9p.m. Parish Prayers will be recited at 8:30p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic Church. 10 St. Gregory’s Dr., Cambridge, on Thursday February 27, 2014 at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery.
