Obituary of Mary-M. Williams


WALLINGFORD - Mary M. Williams 85, of Wallingford, departed this life following a brief illness on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007 at MidState Medical Center. Mary was born May 2, 1922 in Yalesville, daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Crawford) Watson. She worked for nearly 20 years with the Wallace Silversmith Company in Wallingford and she was later employed with Voos Company, and then Stanley Judd. Later in life she worked at Choate School. She was an active member of the Wallingford VFW Women's Auxiliary. In her spare time she loved reading, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed traveling with her niece, Cynthia Mansfield. She will be sadly missed by her children, Alice Foster and her husband, Douglas of Wallingford, Jack Williams and his wife, Pamela of Houston, Texas, and Jan Williams of Willington; she also leaves one sister, Laurel Blood of Meriden; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. in the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. The Rev. Erik Fjeldal of the Yalesville Methodist Church will officiate the service. Interment will be private.
