GIBSON, MARY M. Starke - Mrs. Mary Maxine (Peterson) Gibson, age 95 of Starke, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Starke. Mrs. Gibson was the widow of Lawrence H. Gibson. She was born on May 31, 1912 in Macomb, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary E. (Jarvis) Peterson. Mrs. Gibson earned her Bachelor & Master's Degree from the Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Prior to her retirement, for a period of eighteen years, she was employed as a Home Economics Teacher in the Bradford County School System. Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Starke. She is survived by her son Gerald "Gerry" L. Gibson of Merritt Island, FL. Mrs. Gibson was the mother of the late Gloria Gibson and the sister of the late Maurice Peterson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Jones Funeral Home, 514 E. Nona Street, Starke from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Friday morning, October 12, 2007 at 10 o'clock at Crosby Lake Cemetery, Starke. Arrangements by JONES FUNERAL HOME, STARKE.
