Elberton - Mrs. Mary Lutrell Vickery Jordan, 89, of 123 Lake Forest Drive, Elberton, Georgia died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at her home.Mrs. Jordan was born in Banks County, Georgia, July 18, 1915, daughter of the late Ottis Reed and Emmie Lee Caudell Vickery. Mrs. Jordan worked as a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Grave Baptist Church in Bowman, Georgia. Her husband, James Penic Jordan, preceded her in death.Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Wayne Brown, Elberton, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jordan, Bowman, Georgia; grandchildren and spouses: Angie and Gregg Ruff, Amy and Gary Dixon, Ashley Brown, John Jordan, Randall Jordan, Grant Jordan, and Lee Jordan; 11 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, Reed Jordan; three brothers, Hearst, Oran, and Doyle Vickery; sister, Mozelle Hall.Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Fenlon and Rev. Douglas LeCroy officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Jordan's grandsons.The body is at Pruitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening. The family is at the home of Wayne and Mary Brown, 123 Lake Forest Drive, Elberton, Georgia. Flowers are optional.
