Jacksonville - Funeral services for Mary Louise Wright, 76, will be today, July 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Miracle Revival Temple with the Rev. Walter L. Carr officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Wright will arrive at the church one hour prior to her services. Anniston Funeral Services in charge. She was a faithful member of Miracle Revival Temple for over 40 years. She received a proclamation from Commissioner Court of Calhoun County in 2001. She retired after 37 years of service under Calhoun Country Training School under the Calhoun County School System, and C.E. Hanna under Oxford City Schools System. She received Distinguished service from Oxford Board of Education in 2001, Certificate of Appreciation of outstanding service from C.E. Hanna Elementary School in 1997. Survivors include her children, Anita Wright (Neil), of Saks, Charlotte Wright, of Atlanta, James Wright (Cynthia), of Milwaukee, Wis., Dennis Wright (Celina), of Oxford, Billy Wright, of Djiboutia, Africa; siblings, Marie Akles, Francis Allen, Vicie Davis, all of Anniston, Shirley Teague, Oxford; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; she raised five of her grandchildren from birth to age 18; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enon Knight and Ada Mae Hill; husband, Charles Wright Sr.; children, Charles Ray Wright Jr. and Carolyn Mae Strickland; siblings, Mable Virden, Lula Swink, Magnoila Ridley and Lila Thomas Douglas Virden.
