She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Earl Smith Sr.; her three sons and their families; Earl Jr. & Carol Smith, Cary & Kristen Smith, William & Christine Smith and her grandchildren, Kendra, Austin, Jared, and Sierra Smith; godchildren, Timothy, Jessica and Christopher Parker. She is also survived by her mother, Jessie Eddings; and her siblings, Louie Eddings, Robert Eddings, Dennis Eddings, Donna Salmon, Jesse Eddings Jr., Christopher Eddings, Hope Senkeleski, Mark Eddings, and Matthew Eddings and many beloved nephews, nieces, and friends. Mary is pre-deceased by her sisters, Catherine Kramer and Joyce Cumbie and her father, Jesse Eddings. Mary was fiercely devoted to her family. She delighted in sharing her talent for cooking and baking for her family and friends. She took great joy from preparing a favorite meal or special dessert for birthdays and other special occasions. She owned a restaurant and a wedding catering business that enabled her to share this passion on countless joyous occasions. She was an avid party planner, attending to the smallest details to make sure that each event was personalized to make that person feel loved, cherished, and special. Mary has been an active member of the Dover Advent Christian Church in Dover, Florida for over 35 years. She shared the love of Christ with many, not just in words but in her deeds and by the example of her life. She leaves a legacy of loving and caring for others that is an inspiration to all that knew her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Dover Advent Christian Church, 14202 Downing Street, Dover.
