Mary-Louise Simmons, born in 1930, spouse of Jack Simmons, daughter of Veronica-Rose and William-Harold, mother of George John Previs and Dennis William, died on August 26, 2006 at 76 years old.
SIMMONS Mary Louise Simmons, age 76, of New Milford, died on Saturday, August 26, 2006 ending a long battle with breast cancer. She was a strong and determined person who loved life. Mary Louise was born February 1, 1930 in White Plains, N.Y., daughter of Veronica Rose Ulrich and William Harold Ettinger and later the step-daughter of StephEn Toth. Mary Lou worked at Pepperidge Farm in Norwalk as the PM Shift Clerk for 20 years. She retired 14 years ago, but maintained many friendships from her Pepperidge days. Prior to that, Mary Lou worked at Sperry in Norwalk growing crystals for electronic equipment. Mary Lou is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Jack Simmons; seven children, George John Previs Jr. of Bridgeport, Jackie Simmons of Trumbull, Carol Salvato of Statesville, N.C., Ann Duncan of Buhler, Kan., Kathleen Andrejko of Hamden, Linda Wilson of Lee's Summit, Mo. and Linda D'Agostino of South Newfane, Vt.; sisters, Joan Cohn and Carole Mudd; and step-sisters, Margaret Jewett and Betty Hinkle. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis William Previs; her sisters, Barbara and Virginia; her brother, Bill; and her parents. Mary Lou is also survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Christ Episcopal Church, 5170 Madison Avenue, Trumbull on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 2 o'clock followed by a gathering at 27 Academy Road in Trumbull. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mary Lou's memory.
