<!-- FH = Crawford / Ray Funeral Home -->Mary Louise MillerCanton - Mary Louise "Doodle" Hill Miller, 86, of HyVu Drive, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012.Mrs. Miller was born April 22, 1926 in Haywood County to the late Carl and Nobie Hill. She had made her home in Canton all of her life and was a licensed beautician. Mary Louise first began her career working at the LeMar Beauty Salon which was located on North Main Street in Canton and later opened her own salon in her home, where Mary Louise devoted many years of providing her professional talent and touch to ladies in the community. She was also employed with Reco /CVS Drugstore in Canton where she retired with several years of dedicated service. Mary Louise was a faithful member of Canton Central United Methodist Church and will always be remembered by the many children and families that she touched "keeping the church nursery." She was a wonderful cook and she lovingly prepared and shared her special dishes with her church families and also her many friends. She never forgot those who were ill or "under the weather", always sending a get well card or note reminding them that they were loved. Mary Louise enjoyed traveling and being a dedicated wife and mother fan with the " The Champion " fastpitch softball team which played all across the United States. She always faithfully supported her husband, Nazi, her children and grandchildren in all of their athletic endeavors. Her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were the love of her life and each one of them brought her great pride and joy. Mary Louise "Doodle" Miller was truly a special lady- always giving, always caring, and always thinking of others.She was preceded in death by her husband, German Nazi Miller who passed away in 1975; her sisters, Marie Smathers, Virginia Hill, Pauline Clark, and her brother, Vernon HillSurviving are her children, Eddie Miller and his wife, Jill Miller of Candler, Tim Miller of Canton and Ginger Galyean and her husband, Mark Galyean of Candler; grandchildren, Myra Rice and her husband, John of asheville, Joe Miller and his wife, Ashley of Sylva, Tyler Miller and his wife, Ania of Candler and Brooklyn , Taylor and Mackenzie Galyean of Candler and great grandchildren, Alora, Jake and AubrieThe Miller family would like to extend a special thank you to MedWest Hospice, and also Donna Stevens for all of her special love and care.A private graveside interment service will be held at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The Reverend Mike Jordan will be officiating.
