->Mary Louise McDonald GLOVERSVILLE – Mary Louise McDonald, 84, formerly of Troy died peacefully on October 11, 2014 at Mountainview Nursing Center in Gloversville. Born on April 6, 1930 in Troy ,she was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Shaughnessey McDonald. Although Mary Lou was mentally challenged she led a happy life. She loved to sing and dance and would sing “God Bless America” and was always cheered on by her loving and devoted siblings. Mary Lou was predeceased by her brother Walter McDonald. Survivors include her sisters, Anne Vicedomine (Dominic) of Massachusetts, Joan D’Arcy (Tom) of New Jersey, Ellen DeCrenzo (Frank) of Clifton Park , brothers, James McDonald (Averill) of Rensselaer, Patrick McDonald of North Carolina and Richard McDonald (Christine) of Mechanicville and sister in law Eileen Capasso of Saratoga Springs. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mary Lou’s family wishes to give thanks and praise to Lexington Center, Fulton County, especially the Staff at Rosewood and Mountainview II for the wonderful care they gave Mary Lou. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Avenue (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
