LEE, Mary Louise (née McLeod) June 22, 1924 - April 2, 2015 Predeceased by her husband Christopher Lockhart Lee in 2008, and her siblings: twin Donald Thomas McLeod, brother John Norman "Jack" McLeod, and sister Margaret Phillips (McLeod) Wilton, Mary will be lovingly remembered by her relatives and friends in Ontario (Kenora, Simcoe, Ottawa and Westport) and B.C. (Vancouver area and Victoria). Born in Vancouver and raised in West Vancouver with summer trips to Savary Island, Mary trained as an RN at the Winnipeg General Hospital and then later went on to get her BSc degree in nursing at the University of Toronto. After her marriage in Kenora to Chris in 1960, they resided over the years in Toronto, Simcoe and West Vancouver. Devoted to family, friends and community, Mary enjoyed outdoor sports, birding, playing bridge, and participating in St. Stephen's Anglican church, and the West Vancouver Canadian Federation of University Women, Seniors Centre and Lawn Bowling Club. Her favourite season was summer because that was when she and Chris would head off to Kenora and the cottage on Ile Petite in the beautiful Lake of the Woods. The call of the loon, family gatherings, boating and picnics provided a lifetime of happy times and memories. Mary's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Revera - Hollyburn House Care Centre for their ongoing care and compassion since 2009. A Memorial Service followed by a reception will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 885 - 22nd Street, West Vancouver, on April 27th at 2:00pm with The Reverend Roberta Fraser officiating. If so desired, donations in Mary's memory would be welcomed by the North Shore Hospice Society, online at www.northshorehospice.ca Hollyburn Funeral Home 604-922-1221 www.hollyburnfunerals.com
