HOPPER, Mary Louise After a very brief battle with cancer, Marylou passed away at Victoria Hospice on August 19, 2011 at the age of 58. She is predeceased by her parents Grace and Bernie Hopper. She is survived by her son Dallas Duobaitis, her brothers Jim and John Hopper of Forest, Ontario and her partner and best friend, Patrick Hubman. After University in London, Ontario, Marylou moved to Prince Rupert, BC in 1977 to begin her 34 year teaching career. She moved to Victoria in the 1980's where she continued to teach with Sooke School District #62. Her most recent years were spent at Hans Helgesen Elementary. Marylou was a teacher for special needs children and her guidance and love for her students will not be forgotten. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Victoria Hospice Foundation. Their kindness is beyond words. Marylou's ashes will be interned with her parents in her home town of Forest, Ontario. Life is a shipwreck but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats. Voltaire. 635917
