ADAMS, Mary Louise During the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 26, 2007, Troy resident Mary Louise (Wilcox) (Woodward) Adams passed away quietly at Riverview Manor in Owego, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years of age, and had resided at the Paul Reynolds Apartments in Troy for the past 15 years. Born in Ridgebury Township, Bradford County, PA on August 20, 1917, she was the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Horning) Wilcox. Known to family and friends as Louise, she was the widow of Purl Woodward and Roy Adams. Louise is survived by her sons, Walter (and Sylva) Adams of Big Flats, NY, William (and Nancy) Woodward of Gillett, Harold Adams of Corning; daughters, Helen Davy of Canton, Phyllis Clegg of Roaring Branch, Betty Jennings of Elmira, Mary (and Tom) McGuirk of Horseheads, Joyce Sheldon of Candor, NY; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Delbert Wood of Troy; son-in-law, Lewis Howell of Canton; daughter-in-law, Donna Adams of Big Flats; and special granddaughter, Angela Casey, who served as her special caregiver at Riverview Manor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Adams and Purl Woodward; a son, Carl Adams; daughter, Audrey Howell; sister, Donna Wood; brother, Glen Wilcox; sisters, Pearl Thorne and Carrie Deats. Calling hours will be Friday, June 29, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 40 N. Center Street, Canton. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Harry Barriger of the Shady Grove Wesleyan Church of Corning officiating. Interment will be in Beech Flats Cemetery.
