Mary Lou (Robbins) Johnson, age 66 years, of Bonita Springs, formerly of Middleboro, Mass., died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Morton Hospital, Taunton. She was the wife of Melvin Mel B. Johnson. Born in Middleboro, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Guild) Robbins. She was a graduate of Middleboro High School, Class of 1961. She was a secretary, having worked for many years at the former St. Lukes Hospital, Middleboro, and went on to the Plymouth County House of Correction, where she retired from. She was a longtime resident of Middleboro, having spent the past 10 years in Bonita Springs. She was a former member of the Middleboro Central United Methodist Church. In her early years, she assisted with the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed camping, bowling, reading, doing her daily crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Mark B. and his wife Misty Johnson, Scott B. and his companion Barbara Nichols, all of Middleboro; one daughter, Debra and her husband Tom Wilson of North Andover; two brothers, William Robbins of Plymouth and Gary Robbins of Taunton; two grandchildren, Jack and Ryan Johnson; several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Allen and Fred Robbins.
