Mary-Lou-Armes Lee, born in 1930, spouse of Samuel Lee, daughter of Bob and Minnie, died on December 24, 2012 at 82 years old.
Mary Lou Armes Lee, 82, of Wartburg, formerly of Harriman, was called home to be with Jesus on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.She was a lifelong member of Armes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Wartburg. She worked hard all her life, being raised on a farm and holding various jobs at the hosiery mills in Harriman and Rockwood, Life Care Center of Morgan County and various other places. She was a faithful wife and a loving and caring mother, grandmother and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Minnie Armes; husband Samuel "Edd" Lee; and her son, John Arnold Lee.She is survived by three sons, James Edward and wife Lucy Lee, Wilmington, N.C., Robert Everett Lee Sr., Harriman, and Samuel Woodrow Lee, Wartburg; grandsons, Robbie Lee, Harriman, "Dujee" and Chastity Bowling, Nashville, Jared and Tina Lee, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Hank Moss, Rockwood; granddaughters, Courtney Lee, Huntsville, Ala., Carla Lee and David Cuomto, Castle Hayne, N.C., Shawn Moss and Charlie Long, Rockwood, Ashleigh Bryant, Kingston, and Aimee and Eddie Davidson, Kingston. Also surviving are numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, in Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in Armes Chapel Church, with the Rev. Richard Cox and the Rev. Jeff Armes officiating.
