JORDAN Mary Lois Pagett Jordan, widow of Donald Jordan, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 after a battle with cancer. Mary was born February 13, 1930 as the seventh of ten children born to Oatley Hobert and Emma Johnson Pagett. They predeceased her as well as her great aunt and uncle who reared her, John LaMartin and Mary Emily Pagett Knapp and brothers Charles Atley and John Hobert Pagett, sister Iva Lorraine Pagett Burner. Mary, MJ, Peanut, Mrs. J., Aunt J as she was known to many is survived by her brother Ralph G. Pagett (Rita), Jasper, IN; Five sisters, June Brown, Elberfeld, IN, Betty J. Roberts (James), Norma S. Duff, Anna B. Chamberlain (Larry), Evansville, IN; Peggy J. (Red) Meredith, Henderson, KY; god children and great-god children: Deborah D. and Keith Smith, Cody Edenfield, Matthew Jordan Barker, Dr. Jason S. and Heather Seibel, J. Sean Seibel II, Timothy B., Laura and Tyler Robertson. Phillip Allen, Bradley Allen, Gary DeGoursey, Mark and Katie DeGoursey, Jason, Kristine and Emily DeGoursey, Eric and Rene' Lown; Sisters-in-law Hilda Jordan, Lucille Davis and Dorothy Jordan in Dixie Union, GA. There are also many nieces and nephews and great and great-great nephews and nieces in Indiana as well as in Georgia and Jacksonville. Larry and Penny Davis, Fosteen Stevenson, Virean and Wayne Boland, Ronnie and Sandy Davis, Lonnie Eugene and Christa Jordan, Evelyn Jordan, William (Bill) and Jackie Purvis, Evanell and Wilbert Turner, Linda and David Green, DeAwna and Phil Wallace, Jordan and Tyler Wallace, Jim and Tina Jordan, Sharon and Andy Bennett, Marie and James Hayes, Phil Lindsey, and Pat Lindsey. She worked for Prudential Insurance Company for 44 years as Office Manager for many of those years. She was married to Donald Jordan for two months shy of 50 years. Mary was Treasurer of the Republican Executive Committee as well as the Treasurer of the Republican Women's Club of St. Johns, Fed. She has been a member of the American Business Women's Association since 1971 - Golden Key then Trendsetters Chapter. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hardage/Giddens Mandarin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Mandarin United Methodist Church with Reverend Curran Spottswood officiating.
