Lee, Mary McClure, 89, born in Decatur & a resident of Montgomery since 1989, died Oct. 3. Memorial service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel of Montgomery, on Sat., Oct. 13, at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Jay Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her seven grandsons. The family will receive friends on Sat., Oct. 13, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. Perry St., Montgomery, AL 36104.Mrs. Lee graduated from Decatur H.S. in 1940 & the Univ. of Montevallo in 1944 with a degree in Retailing & Fashion Design. She worked as a buyer for Rich's in Atlanta after college. Mary married Dr. William Henry Lee in 1946 & resided in Fort Deposit for over 40 years. She was a wonderful mother to four sons & a daughter. She was a Sunday School teacher for 4-year olds at Bethel Baptist Church, a Cub Scout Den Mother, Montgomery Area Girl Scout Council Member, PTA Pres., 2nd Dist. Dental Society Pres., Fort Deposit Arts Council Member & 1959 Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. At the time of her death she was a member of First Baptist Church of Montgomery & the Martha Chandler Sunday School Class.She's preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Lee, her parents, Robert Gibbs McClure & Sue Stroup McClure, a brother, Reeder Gibbs McClure & three sisters, Bernice McClure, Evelyn Weeks & Dorothy Thomas.She's survived by her five children, William Henry Lee, Jr. (Dr. Linda Mobley Lee) of Greensboro, GA; Dr. Ernest Colvin Lee (Candace Shirley Lee) of Birmingham; Dr. Elbert Marvin Lee (Dana Saunders Lee) of Auburn; Robert Gibbs Lee (Heidi Hester Lee) of Montgomery & Susan Lee Gammage (Dr. Daniel Davis Gammage) of Mandeville, LA; Also, 12 grandchildren, William Austin Lee (Sharon) of San Francisco, CA; Brian Thomas Lee (Ally) of Pasadena, CA; Ernest Colvin Lee, Jr. (Danielle) of Auburn; Sheridan Lee Scruggs (Clay) of Atlanta; Kathryn Lee Lowder (Josh) of Montgomery; Andrew Gilfillan Lee (Whitney) of Baton Rouge, LA; Christopher Gibbs Lee (Lindsey) of Birmingham; Diana Margaret Lee of Auburn; Caroline McClure Lee of Washington D.C., Gibbs Townsend Lee of Savannah, GA; Paul Vinson Hutcheson, Jr. (Lauren) & Mary Everette Hutcheson Saucer (Garrett) of Montgomery; And, 10 great grandchildren, Camden Lee, Kaiya Lee, Sydney Scruggs, Josh Scruggs, Maggie Lee, Anna Lee, Rebecca Lee, John Henry Lee, Mary Michael Hutcheson & Paul Hutcheson III; three nephews, Dr. John Thomas; Richard Thomas; Philip Mantel & two nieces, Lynda Avant & Anna Mantel.
