Mary Etta Chalmers Lee, widow of Lt. Col. (Ret.) James R. Lee, formerly of Greenwood, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002. Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late J.W. Sr. and Annie Belle Lavender Chalmers. Survivors: Daughters, Patti Andrews of Columbia, Nancy Seymann of Alland, Austria, Suzette Wilson of Barnwell, and Mary Ann Jay of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister, Hilda C. Bell, of Columbia; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at Blyth Funeral Home. Service:11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Family: Respective homes.
