Mary Lee Stegall McDonald, of McDaniel Avenue, died Friday, March 8, 2002. She was married to the late Charlie Elford McDonald, who owned McDonald's Men Shop on Main Street, and was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are her two daughters, Mary Frances McDonald Lindsey and Jacelyn Ann McDonald McCafferty of Greenville; five grandchildren, Mary Jane Lindsey Freeman, Carlos Michael Lindsey, Carol McCafferty Barnhill, Charles Stephen McDonald, Sharon Kay McDonald McNamara; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her son, Charles Edward McDonald; and a grandson, David Edward McDonald predeceased her. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Doug Bowling and the Rev. William R. Claytor officiating. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1988, Greenville, SC 29602. The family is at the home of Frances M. Lindsey, 8 Bonaventure Drive.
