Mary Lee Edwards, 86, formerly of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the home of a daughter, Ann Wells, in Punta Gorda, FL. Those who preceded Mrs. Edwards in death include her husband, Rev. Alvin Edwards, and two daughters, Ardella Bratcher and Wendy Statler. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Ann Wells, Brenda Cook, Alvina Eldridge, Marsha Sloan, Cindy Cash and Gina Lakes; sons, Rev. Thomas Edwards, William Edwards, Jerry Edwards and Terry Edwards; sisters, Maeola McGaha and Rozetta Dezern; a brother, Carl Edwards; 35 grandchildren; 37 great-grand-children; nine great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral for Mary Lee Edwards will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Harvest Church of God, 7301 Arnoldtown Rd., officiated by Rev. Adron Wheat, Rev. Mike Cash and Rev. Freeman Reece. Visitation will be after noon Saturday at the church and from 2-9 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks, Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd. Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery.
