Mary-Lambruth-Wallace Miller, born in 1921, spouse of Lawrence-Ray Taft, mother of Janet Carole, died on June 24, 2010 at 89 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
MILLER, Mary Lambruth Wallace (Taft)Age 89, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Rosewood Manor near her home in Scottsboro, AL. She enjoyed a successful career as a seamstress and prior to her retirement in 1991, she owned and operated Mary's Alteration Shop on the square in Scottsboro. Mrs. Miller was born in Dellrose, TN in 1920 and lived in Fayetteville, TN until her marriage to Reuben Talmadge Miller of Scottsboro, AL on May 7, 1977. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Ray Taft. She is survived by her only child, Janet Carole Menig and her son-in-law, Robert William Menig of Williamsburg, VA; a grandson, Kyle David Menig and his wife Wendy, and three great-grandchildren of Oceanside, CA; a sister, Sara Rodgers of Ardmore, TN; a brother, Robert Wallace of Dellrose, TN; a sister, Josephine Beard of Birmingham, AL; and cherished nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 12 Noon, at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dustin Henshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
