Mary L. Stout, 81, died April 29, 2008, at the Treasure Coast Hospices residence. She was born in Greenville, N.C., and lived in Stuart for 51 years, coming from Aurora, N.C. Before retirement, she worked as a sales clerk for Little Saints in Stuart. Survivors include her sons, Dennis Whealton and Stephen Whealton, both of Port Salerno; daughter, Barbara Ann Stout of St. Augustine; brothers, J.B. Hollowell, Edward Hollowell and Jack Hollowell, all of North Carolina; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Roger Stout; and son, Michael Whealton.
