Mary L. Carter, 81, died Feb. 8, 2008, at her home in Fellsmere. She was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Fellsmere for 28 years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. Before retirement, she was a private caterer. She was a member of the United Church of God. For many years, she was treasurer for the Fellsmere Library Association and a member of the Historical Society. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lee Everett Carter of Fellsmere; son, Dale Carter of Fellsmere; sister, Theresa Evans Gaul of Providence, R.I.; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by son, Dean Carter, in 2005. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice. SERVICES: A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at Fellsmere with the Rev.
