Obituary of Mary-L. Anderson


ALLENSTOWN – Mary Anderson, 81, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Merrimack County Nursing Home. She was born on March 21, 1932, to John L. and Mary L. (Young) Cleveland.Mary grew up in Boscawen and graduated from Penacook High School. After graduation she moved to Belmont. While raising six children, she attended nursing school and earned her nursing degree.After Belmont, she also lived in Penacook and Allenstown and enjoyed spending winters at her home in Florida. She had a long and memorable career as a nurse and supervisor at Merrimack County Nursing Home.Her greatest joy was her family. She was proud of all her children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, James Anderson of Allenstown; sons, Edward Dyer of Tennessee, Grant Dyer and his wife, Jana, of Penacook, John Dyer and Sally Hyslop of Canterbury, William Dyer Jr. and his wife, Andrea, of Pembroke and Scott Dyer of Pembroke; her daughter, Laurie Dyer of Vermont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Cleveland and his wife, Kathlene, of Pembroke.The Petit Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and offers an on-line guestbook at petitfuneralhome.com.
