KLEIN, Mary Elizabeth passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father and her beloved husband on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012. She was born on Dec. 22, 1921, in New York. Other residences included Maryland, Florida, and Tennessee. She was married for 64 years to her beloved husband, Ralph Joseph, who passed in May, 2006. She had 7 children, Ralph Jr., Francis J, Dorothea, John, Stephen, Edward, and Paul. She had 13 grandchildren. She graduated from Mt. St. Agnes and Trinity College in Maryland. Mary has a long history of teaching ending in 2004. She was also a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory for Dance in New York. She started her own ballroom dance studio when she was 16 and continued her love of dance until recent years. She was a member and officer of Zonta International, and the Delta Alpha Sorority. She was a 2004 History Maker from Dunedin Historical Society, voted Miss Delightful Dunedin twice, and a philanthropist who donated thousands of books to disadvantaged children over the years. She was an advocate for reading literacy and was a guest speaker all over Florida promoting it. The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 17, from 6-8 pm at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Rd. Palm Harbor. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am at Kirk Church of Dunedin, 2686 Bayshore Blvd., Dunedin with entombment to follow at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens. www.curlewhills.com
