MERIDEN - Mary (Kiely) Casey 83, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Harold D. Casey , died peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2011 with her daughters at her side.Born in Meriden, on Oct. 23, 1927, daughter of the late Daniel and Agnes (Hennessy) Kiely and was a lifelong Meriden resident, proud member of Meriden High School, class of 1944, and graduated from Laurel Business School. Mary was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, a member of the church choir for over 30 years, a Eucharistic Minister and Leader of Song, member of Legion of Mary. Mrs. Casey was an avid sports enthusiast; she enjoyed following UConn basketball and was a passionate Yankee fan.She is survived by her daughters, Maureen Casey (George Dichiaro), of Milford, and Patricia Casey, of Meriden, who was caregiver to her mother for the last two years; a sister, Elizabeth (Stephen) Hogan, of Unionville, also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jane Casey.The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 16, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Ave. Meriden, CT 06451, for a Mass of Christian burial. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church; burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the John J.
