Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11am from Titus Baptist Church with Rev. Don Laird and Rev. Gerald Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellison Funeral Home directing. Survivors are two sons Garry William (Sylvia) Kent, Havana, Fl., Dr. Bruce (Carol) Kent, Montgomery, Al., one daughter Linda (Sherman) Hooks, Braggs, Al., two sisters-in-law Grace Powell, Wetumpka, Al., Helen Powell, Edison, N.J., seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Darnell Kent. Mrs. Kent will lie in state one hour at the church prior to the service.
