KIRKLEY, Mary Katherine Menefee, 55, of Plant City, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2004. Her family rejoices knowing the she is in Heaven and no longer suffering. Mrs. Kirkley moved here in 1999 from Anchorage, Alaska. She was an executive secretary for Pierce Cartwright Co. of Anchorage, Alaska, a member of Springhead Baptist Church, and she was an Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her father, James Menefee. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Kirkley; son, Christopher and wife Krista Kirkley of Tumwater, Wash.; daughter, Dawn Starr and husband Craig of Anchorage, Alaska; mother, Margie Menefee of Plant City; two sisters, Carol Ann Mathis of Plant City and Norma Pettit of Tampa; four grandchildren, Colton and Bradly Starr, Trystan and Keeley Kirkley. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. with services beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Bill Bender officiating.
