OWENS, Mary K., 92, of Brooksville, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at her home. She was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and came to the area 78 years ago from Binghamton. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and volunteered at Daystar for many years. Survivors include daughter, Diane Waldron of Brooksville; grandchildren, Lori Chappell, Lisa Grieves and Leah Bates, all of Brooksville, and Steven Owens of Asheville, N.C.; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Alexis and Samson Owens, all of Asheville, N.C., Ashton Rose Bates, Blair Hope Bates, Bradley Bates Jr. and Mary Lylah Chappell, all of Brooksville. Visitation for friends will be 2-4 and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Father Conrad Sundholm officiating. Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.
