HomemakerLAKE WALES -- Mrs. Mary Jackson Joiner of Lake Wales died of heart failure Dec. 11, 2005, at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. She was 84.Born in Tifton, Ga., on Dec. 25, 1920, she came to Lake Wales from there 60 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Born Church of The Living God in Lake Wales and was a church mother.Mrs. Joiner was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Joiner. She is survived by her sons, Willie Joiner, and Elbert Joyner, both of Lake Wales; daughters, Ernestine Jackson, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Betty Joyner, and Tillie Joyner, both of Lake Wales, Delores Ashford, Long Beach, Calif., Helen Brewster, Ocala; stepson, Henry Joiner, Philadelphia; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Epps Mortuary, Lake Wales. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bible Church of God, Lake Wales.
