<!-- FH = West Family Funeral Services -->Mary Callahan JohnsonWeaverville - Mary Callahan Johnson, age 86, of 39 Reed Road, Asheville formerly of Reems Creek Community, died Thursday, March 21, 2013.Mary was born February 17, 1927, in Buncombe County where she had lived all of her life. She was formerly employed at Hadley's of Weaverville for over 20 years. Mary loved life, her family, cooking and her dogs and enjoyed working in the garden with her brother Junior. She was a daughter of the late Spurgeon C. and Bessie Johnson Callahan. Mary was also preceded in death by her sons, Jerry and Joy Johnson; brothers, Clyde and Junior Callahan; sister, Martha Honeycutt.Surviving are her daughter, Tina J. Reed and husband Bobby of Asheville; sister, Betty Jones of Weaverville;; grandsons, Michael Johnson, and Jeremy Johnson and wife Katrina; granddaughter, Carie Johnson; and four great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home with the Rev. Powell Young officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.
