Davis, Mary Jo M., 85, of Largo, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (June 23, 2007) at home. Born in Lexington, Ky., she lived in Louisville, Ky., until 1963 and in Atlanta until 1978, when she retired and moved to St. Petersburg. In Atlanta, she worked in the accounting department at Richís department store for 10 years and was a volunteer at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, where she co-founded the library and was the head librarian for many years. She was a member of the Sierra Club and the League of Women Voters, both in St. Petersburg, and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels in Louisville. Survivors include three daughters, Judith Davis Woodring, Deborah Davis Carter and Mary Lynn Davis, and a son, Thomas Patrick Davis, all of Largo; two brothers, the Rev. John McManus, St. Cloud, Minn., and Gene McManus, Louisville; a sister, Peggy McManus Reo, Long Beach, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
