Mary Jo Crawford, formerly of Morris Township, N.J., went to rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on Aug. 13, after a long battle with MDS. Memorial services will be held in Chester, N.J., and Amherst, Wis., at a later date. Born in Amherst, Wis., in 1942, she also lived in Iowa, Maryland and the Philippines. She will be remembered for her gift of song, and she recently established a choir called "With One Voice." Her family treasures her ability to reach out to others with acts of compassion and understanding. Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her two sisters, Sally Peterson of Frisco, Texas, and Susan Stephens of Clive, Iowa; two sons and three daughters; and nine grandchildren, Judson, Lisa, Hunter, and Tyler Crawford of Chadds Ford, Pa., Richard, Martha, Caitlyn and Wesley Crawford of Yarmouth, Maine, Daniel, Karen, Molly, Patrick, and Robert Roup of Medina, Ohio, Jerry and Lisa Cash, Shannon and Matthew Mulligan of Excelsior, Minn., Julie Crawford and her partner, Catherine Segal, of Chester.
