Mary Jean Miller, 75, Bradenton, died Feb. 23, 2005. She was born May 13, 1929, in Scranton, Pa., and came to Manatee County in 1989 from Waverly, Pa. She retired as a hair salon manager for JCPenney Co. in Scranton. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, James H.; sons James J. of Sylvania, Ohio, John J. of Wescosville, Pa., and Jeffrey J. of Coopersburg, Pa.; sisters Mary Ruth Snyder of Bradenton and Mary Ryder of Binghamton, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel. A memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church in Bradenton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
