Mary Jayne Short of BinghamtonMary Jayne Short, 80, of Binghamton, died Monday morning, February 25, 2002, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Fire Captain Frank J. Short and Elizabeth M. Short. She was predeceased by her three brothers, James, Francis and Robert; one sister Peg Roloson. She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor and Agnes Short, Binghamton; nephews, Francis J. Short and wife, Joan and children, Binghamton, Bruce Roloson and wife, Debra and children, Apalachin, N.Y.; and several cousins. Mary Jayne was a life long parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton and retired from the City of Binghamton Corporation Counsel Office. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday at 9:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, where a Funeral Mass will be concelebrated by the Rev. Father Daniel M. Caruso, Pastor, Rev. Father Robert F. Bogan, and Rev. Father John P. Putano. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Mary of the Assumption Church Refurbishment Fund, 37 Fayette St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901 in Mary Jayne Short's memory.
