Mary-Jane McIntyre-Miller, daughter of Jack and Nina, died on January 21, 2006.
ROSE OF HOPE (R) “Mickey's Rose“ McINTYRE-MILLER Mary Jane “Mickey“ (1949 - 2006) Mary Jane “Mickey“ McIntyre-Miller, loving daughter of Nina and Jack McIntrye made her transition to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital. She suffered terribly for nearly five years. She was very interested in (her father) Jack's involvement with the “Rose of Hope“ and its “Mission of Hope“ for Cancer Research, New and Special equipment for the patients at the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre and other support programs. Friends living in Kingston wanted to make a gift in her name. It was decided “Gifts of remembrance“ may be made and cheques made out to: The Kingston Hospital Joint Advancement Foundation (for “Rose of Hope“ Charity Event - 2006) More than $200,000 has been raised by the “Rose of Hope“ Charity Event during the past three years. Ninety-nine and nine tenths of the funds were used for cancer programs in Kingston. Church Service will be Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. St. John Fisher Church, 120 Summerhill Avenue, Pointe Claire, Quebec. “To know the Rose“ Is to know God.
