Mary-Jane Adams, spouse of Frederick-Cossette Adams, mother of Christopher, Cathy Inglis Adams, Georgia, Jon Christian and Frederick, died on August 7, 2011. Please consult the obituary here:
<!-- FH = Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home, Brunswick, GA -->Mary Jane Adams, widow of the late Frederick Cossette Adams, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, and most recently of St. Simon's Island, Brunswick, Georgia, passed away August 7, 2011. Jane and Fred Adams moved to Cocoa Beach in 1950 from Birmingham, Michigan. She was noted for her beautiful cakes, seasonally decorated cookies, and for her state-registered turtle refuge that protected gophers from 1954 until 2004.She was a charter member of the Women's Republican Club of Cocoa Beach, an associate member of the Women's Auxiliary of Cape Canaveral Hospital, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Central and North Brevard, and active in the Episcopal Church Women of St. David's by-the-Sea.She leaves three sons, Christopher Robin 'Kit' Adams of Indialantic, Kim Dalton Adams of Cocoa, and Geoffrey Kingston Adams of Cocoa; a daughter, Cathy Inglis Adams Dart of St. Simon's Island, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jon Christian Adams of Cocoa and Frederick 'Ric' William Adams II of Merritt Island.Memorial service will be at St. David's by-the-Sea, 600 Fourth Street, Cocoa Beach, on August 27 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at St. Luke's Cemetery in Courtnay, Florida.In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Central Brevard Humane Society, 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa, FL 32926. 321-636-3343
