Mary J. Miller <br/> CHESNEE, SC --> Mary J. Miller CHESNEE, SC-- Ms. Mary J. Miller of 414 Casey Creek Rd. was born on January 30, 1953 and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Pearl Crawford and June Moss. Ms. Miller attended Foster Grove High School; after the intergration of schools in 1971, Mary was the first black cheerleader at Boiling Springs High School. Left to cherish fond memories are: her sister, Mrs. Johnnie (Reverend James) Reese of Spartanburg, SC; her brother, Mr. Sherman (Linda) Crawford, Jr. of Chesnee, SC; her brother-in-law, Mr. Henry Clay McKinney of Augusta, GA; her three aunts, Mrs. Christena (Linzy) Peeler of Moore, SC, Mrs. Dreamy Good of Hendersonville, NC and Mrs. Darleighter Miller of Atlanta, GA; two uncles, Mr. Andrew Miller of Moore, SC and Reverend James (Christina) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; her great uncle, Mr. William Nathaniel Meadows of Detroit, MI; her special cousin, Ms. Emma Jean Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of the Life of Mary J. Miller will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC 29303. Reverend James Reese will officiate. Interment will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC 29376.
